Jess On The Beats

💄👋🏼WELCOME TO JESS ON THE BEATS!👋🏼💄 My name is Jess, professionally known as Jessonthebeats on Instagram. I was born in Berkeley, California, and raised in East Oakland. My passion for makeup was inspired by my mother’s deep love for cosmetics. Although I originally aspired to become a social worker, her enthusiasm for eyeshadow and lipstick eventually drew me into the beauty industry. I began experimenting with makeup at the age of five, unknowingly holding my first brush, and officially started doing makeup nearly 10 years ago. In 2016, I started promoting prominent beauty brands such as The Crayon Case, Anastasia Beverly Hills, Morphe, and NYX. A turning point in my journey was discovering the joy of formulating my own lipstick and eyeshadow products, which I often shared as gifts. By 2018, my artistry was featured in events such as The RAWartist showcase and the Trap Art Show in the DMV area, where I collaborated with talented models and photographers. These opportunities led to features in several publications including Key, NWA, Issue, Iconish, Vigour, Moevir, and Elle magazines. In January 2022, I graduated from Esthetics School and discovered a new passion for bridal makeup, leading me to become a freelance Bridal Makeup Artist with NVS Bridal & Glam Sqad. This role provided the opportunity to showcase my work at New York Fashion Week in both February 2023 and September 2024, working alongside renowned designers such as Ranhawa Brands, Richie Rich, Dur Doux, Ronald Van Der Kemp, and Rania Younis, as well as with vegan cosmetics brand La Beauté Fatale. In September 2023, I further expanded my skill set by completing a three-day Master Lash course, earning certification in lash extensions. I now proudly offer bridal makeup, lash extension and facial services.
